Motorists looking to invest in a used vehicle with their Car Finance agreement may be more likely to opt for a blue model than any other colour.
Research by British Car Auctions (BCA) has shown that while silver is often said to be the most popular colour for new cars, the same can be said for the colour blue when it comes to used models.
More than 125,000 vehicles were surveyed by the firm, with the finding that 23.4 per cent were blue.
Meanwhile, silver was close behind, accounting for 23.3 per cent of the vehicles.
BCA's UK operations director Simon Henstock commented: "While colour is a critical factor for new car buyers, our research shows it doesn't rate nearly as highly with used car buyers when it comes to making a purchase decision."
Price has been found to be the most important factor, he added.
According to cars.uk.msn.com, analysts have forecasted that the second hand price of silver cars will drop as a result of the colour being so popular.
