Untreated country roads will make driving "unpredictable" for Car Credit customers this winter, as insurance companies prepare themselves for a record number of accidents.
Research from NFU Mutual has found that most motoring accidents occur when drivers simply skid off the road, meaning they may have to undertake a Used Car Search at some stage this winter.
Snow, thick fog or very heavy rain can impede a driver's ability to stay on the road, according to the insurer. Drivers may need access to approved Car Finance or Used Car Reviews if they are involved in an accident.
Laura Wood, spokesperson for NFU Mutual, said: "Naturally, at this time of year when the weather can be increasingly unpredictable, it is vital that you have adequate motor insurance as accidents do happen and you should always be prepared."
NFU Mutual is an affiliate of the National Farmers' Union.
