Drivers thinking about buying one of Nissan's new cars for sale could be interested in a unique track lap completed by a concept car.
Car Finance customers waiting for the arrival of more eco-friendly cars may go for the X-Trail Fuel Cell Vehicle (FCV) after it completed a circuit of the Nurburgring in Germany.
The vehicle made it around the track in wet weather on standard street tyres, impressing racing driver Frank Eickholt.
He said: "I was very surprised at just how comfortable it is to drive a fuel cell car. You get in, turn the key and off you go, just like with a normal car."
The five-seater X-Trail FCV is a zero-emission electric car running on electricity produced on board the vehicle in a hydrogen fuel cell stack.
Electricity is generated following an electro-chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen, producing only water vapour as a by-product.
Earlier this month NISSAN celebrated the 25th anniversary of its Micra model by organising a motorcade of 25 special edition models.
