Car manufacturer Nisan has plunged into the small car market with the launch of its new Pixo.
The company believes the new arrival could take advantage of a growth in demand for small cars and this latest model will add to its portfolio in the sector which already includes the Micra and Note.
"Capitalising on the continuing trend towards downsizing, Pixo provides budget motoring at its most affordable but backed up with the quality and reliability," the manufacturer states.
The arrival of another new small car into Nissan's line-up could result in an increase in the number of used cars coming into the market, as more people look to purchase the new Pixo instead of the Micra or Note.
While the new car market has struggled in recent years because of the economic downturn, there has been a considerable rise in the demand for used cars, which has tightened the market.
Meanwhile, RENAULT has revealed the pricing for its latest model, the seven- SEAT Grand Scenic. The marque debuted the Grand Scenic at last month's Geneva Motor Show.
