Revival in auto sales in the US

Jun 4 2010 Finally there was something to cheer for the US automobile market as sales figures showed a refreshing bounce last month with majors Ford, Chrysler and Nissan being the major beneficiaries. Their models all showed high sales with customers buying them outright as well as by making use of appropriate car finance plans.
Retail sales of vehicles went up by twenty percent in April and that took the figure to 11.5 million units for the year till now and though it was still below the 16 million all time high mark, it was still very encouraging news and auto companies would feel more optimistic about the future.
Ford saw its volumes jump up by twenty five percent with its F-Series trucks seeing a surge of almost 42 percent and its SUV seeing a surge of 41 percent. Chrysler too saw volumes go up by twenty five percent and that was really something very positive for the company whose last such double digit performance in sales volume was five years back. Nissan saw its volumes go up the maximum at 35 percent.
Even other car brands like Subaru and VW had a very good month of sales recording sales improvement of 48 and 39 percent respectively.
