Auto manufacturers and designers always come across the problem of a new design bearing some resemblance to an existing model and have to tweak and redesign to finally get what they had initially conceptualised.
It was a similar story with Infiniti. They had to discard many designs that were proposed for the new NISSAN Leaf as they thought it was too close in resembling the Leaf. The designers will therefore have to come with a sportier look and interiors that are more elegant and at the same time luxurious enough to make a real difference.
The challenge according to Larry Dominique, the vice president looking after the North American markets for Nissan is to come out with a vehicle that is not only unique in terms of its exteriors and interiors but also stand out in terms of the unique Infiniti driving experience.
The Nissan Leaf has already made an impact thanks to its emphasis on clean fuel technology. This enabled the auto manufacturer to sell many vehicles through attractive Car Finance credit schemes and customers were quick to take advantage of them. This pure electric car can run on its lithium-ion batteries for about 100 miles.
