In a new world where car owners no longer have to worry about their car’s fuel consumption, but rather about its range and where to recharge it, getting proper support with recharging your electric car battery is as vital as choosing the right car finance package.
With this in mind, Citroen UK and Peugeot UK have now partnered with EDF Energy in order to provide both fleet owners and residential customers with a range of recharging products and services when they buy a Citroen C-Zero or a Peugeot Ion.
The residential package will sell for £799. It will include a home survey to find the best location for the charging point as well as the installation of a dedicated charging point. A timer to schedule charging for off-peak periods will also be included. The customer will receive a full EV consumption statement and the charging point will carry a three year warranty.
In terms of the agreement the first 500 residential customers will get their initial 1,000 electric miles free of charge.
Business fleet owners will be provided with a range of recharging services and products to suit their individual needs. These include, but are not limited to, selection of the site, technical reporting facilities, an array of recharging products, smart meter technology and installation services.
EDF Energy is already overseeing the site survey and installation of battery recharging points and appointed Citroen and Peugeot dealers across the country. The company has also been appointed to handle the training of dealership staff in safe recharging practices.
