If you have always wanted to test drive a Peugeot iON for a couple of days before actually committing yourself to a car finance package, now is your chance. For the first time Europcar now offers these cars on a daily rental basis in the UK.
The company says that initially the project will be based largely in London and near airports, because there is already a solid recharging network in place. Europcar also expects the congestion of London to act as an incentive to motorists to go green.
You can now rent a Peugeot iON at Luton, Gatwick and Heathrow airports. They are also available at Marble Arch and at King’s Cross – which is, of course, great if you plan to arrive in London on the Eurostar.
There is already a very good working relationship between PSA Peugeot Citroen and Europcar and the addition of the iON is expected to further strengthen these ties.
The Managing Director of Europcar UK, Ken McCall, had the following comment: “This is a tremendously exciting initiative for us. Demand for electric vehicles to rent is really starting to pick up as both businesses and leisure drivers want to make the most of both the environmental and cost advantages.”
According to McCall, the introduction of the iON shows that the company is listening to customer feedback and that it is committed to technological innovation and sustainable development.
Europcar is the first car rental company in the UK to introduce the new Peugeot iON to its fleet.
