Peugeot 'in new bid to tempt car loan customers'
May 7 2008
PEUGEOT is to give a wider choice to new car loan customers by broadening its range in an effort to further win over British drivers.
The Times reports the French car maker is preparing an assault on the country's affordable premium cars market.
New models are reportedly in the pipeline with fresh Peugeots on the market as early as 2010.
Quoted by the paper Christian Streiff of Peugeot said: "There will be a sense of something special, of pleasing, distinctive design and of luxury materials."
The first new model likely to be available to Car Finance customers is the RCZ coupe concept car, described as a cheaper alternative to the AUDI TT.
Peugeot and associate brand CITROEN are aiming to up their competitive premium car market share by 15 per cent to 90 per cent.
Both brands have flagship saloons on the market but neither is currently a big seller, with German brands currently proving more popular with British drivers and car loan customers.
Car finance customers could be interested in the development of the RCZ coupe, which recently made an appearance at the Lisbon Motor Show ahead of its full production.
