Peugeot Achieves Remarkable Feat

If you were still considering taking up car finance to buy a Peugeot 508 RXH, we have bad news for you: the company managed to achieve the rare feat of selling every single one of the limited edition model in only three days.

The ground breaking hybrid diesel-electric car was released simultaneously in 12 European countries: Austria, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Italy, France, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Portugal, Poland, Switzerland and the UK.

To be fair: only 30 of them went on sale in the UK and these were snapped up by eager buyers – who will have to wait until March next year to take delivery.

The 508 RXH is, of course, not the first diesel hybrid from the Peugeot stable – that honour belongs to the 3008.

The Peugeot 508 RXH is fitted with a two-litre FAP HDi diesel engine delivering 163bhp of power to the front wheels and a 37bhp electric motor powering the rear wheels.

The car is absolute stuffed with innovative equipment and features, including Lama leather, copper metallic paintwork, Alcantara upholstery, Xenon headlamps, Peugeot’s famous Open and Go system, electric powered seats and motorised tailgate.

Other features include automatic four-zone air conditioning, front parking aid, Attila 18-inch alloy wheels, JBL Hi-Fi and very distinctive, individually numbered plaques.

Peugeot showcased the 508 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, where it caused quite a stir.  This is the third model in the popular 508 range.

If you want to know about emission levels before considering car finance: the new Peugeot will have CO2 emissions of about 109g/km.
