A family from the East Midlands has cut its motoring emissions by 33 per cent just by changing cars.
Car Finance customers debating which vehicle could reduce emissions and tax fees could be interested in the experience of the Hawksworths, who were taking part in a BBC experiment.
The family got rid of an MGF and old FORD Galaxy in favour of two RENAULT models as part of a project to create a "low carbon family".
Mr Hawksworth said: "The overall lifestyle changes we've made are here to stay and were big Renault converts too."
Drivers eager to cut their road tax costs and invest in a greener vehicle could finance a new purchase quickly with a car loan.
The family conducted research on emissions and cut their vehicle CO2 emissions after choosing the Renault Grand Scenic dCi 130 and Megane Coupe-Cabriolet dCi 106.
BBC One's Breakfast show followed the family's progress and saw them easily reach a target of reducing their overall carbon footprint by 25 per cent in 12 months.
