Renault launches new campaign
Apr 29 2009Car manufacturer RENAULT has announced the launch of a major new campaign in an effort to boost sales and increase interest in its vehicles.
The firm has launched two new websites that are aimed at encouraging new buyers as well as offering dedicated Renault fans the opportunity to find out more about the company and what it is doing.
Renaultshop and RenaultTV are the company's response to the current economic downturn and it is hoped the initiative will help bring in more new customers, while it could also inspire people looking for a used car to choose the marque.
Announcing the plans, Renault said in a statement: "The aim is to reduce stocks and boost sales. The advantage for customers is obvious: using a simplified search engine, customers can search for a vehicle by dealership, geographical area, model or budget."
This is the latest phase in a major promotional push by Renault, following the launch of its new television advert featuring French footballer Eric Cantona.
The former Manchester United forward is the latest football star to advertise the manufacturer's cars, following in the footsteps of countryman and former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry.
