Unsecured Car Loans customers looking for a more environmentally-friendly alternative to their current vehicles might consider Seat's latest offering.
The Alhambra Ecomotive, chosen car for the recent "Climate Change, Awareness and Action" meeting in Seville, is on sale now in showrooms across the UK.
One of the first models in its class to cut its CO2 emissions, the seven- SEAT vehicle manages 47.1mpg - 4.3 mpg more than its standard equivalent - thanks to a lowered sports suspension and low-friction tyres.
In addition, the vehicle's CO2 emissions have been cut to 159g/km, meaning car loans customers could save money on Vehicle Excise Duty ahead of next year's proposed charges for higher emissions cars.
Steve Robertson, head of marketing for Seat UK, said the Alhambra Ecomotive - which joins the existing Ibiza Ecomotive and Leon Ecomotive - was "an important addition" to the company's line-up of Ecomotive models.
"This underlines our commitment to offering low emission cars across as wide a section of the market as possible," he added.
Under the current proposed VED rates, the Alhambra Ecomotive would feature in band G, meaning car loans customers would pay around £150 to tax the vehicle for the year 2009-10.
