The motoring press has for the first time published photos of the revised SUBARU Impreza. Subaru has for some time promised that the car will be as good looking as it is fun to drive.
The new Impreza with its much bolder design will be officially launched at the New York Motor Show. The car will start appearing on UK showroom floors early in 2012.
The Impreza will be available in two different versions, a five-door hatchback and a saloon. Both promise to offer a higher degree of luxury and more interior space than the current Impreza.
A few of the most pronounced changes at the front are revised headlamps and trapezoidal fog light surrounds. The Subaru badge is more prominent and the wing mirrors have been modified.
At the back the rear bumper is now deeper and there are new tail lamps. The profile of the car, with its trademark slash lines above the rear wheels, has been left unchanged.
The four cylinder boxer engine of the Subaru had been updated. A CVT automatic gearbox will now be offered as an option, which will no doubt help some Car Credit buyers to get better fuel consumption. The well-liked 4-wheel drive arrangement remains unchanged. Some Car Finance buyers might argue that the changes are only skin deep: below the surface there are not many differences between the new Impreza and the previous version. They will not be completely wrong, since the car is in fact based on the same suspension and braking system as the 3rd generation Impreza that was first launched in 2008.
Subaru has not announced the price of the revised Impreza yet.
