Subaru’s new wide body car

Apr 25 2010
Subaru has remodeled the Impreza WRX and has plans to show it at the New York Show in the month of April. This vehicle that features the all-wheel drive has an additional 1.5 inch to show for all the efforts at its front and rear and also comes with much larger fender flares. The 17-inch wheels are also one inch wider than the other 17 inch wheels being used this year. These changes however have pushed up the weight by about 15kgs.
This is the company’s initiative to keep improving on the WRX model to provide its enthusiasts a package in the form of an all-wheel drive experience that they will enjoy and also help the company to sell more units through competitive car finance schemes.
This new wide bodied look helps to narrow the gap that existed between the conventional WRX and WRX STI. This new look would apply to the four as well as the five door variants. The car will also have a new grille, fog lamps that are more contemporary and headlights that have been redesigned as well. The interior has been done up in carbon black with checks and red stitching.
