Subaru dealer heads to Paris ? by bike

Jun 8 2009

A dealer at one of car manufacturer Subaru's outlets is set to cycle to Paris in a bid to raise money for charity.

Mick Wyatt, general manager of the Carstins SUBARU dealership, is planning to make the trip as part of the London-Paris Cycle Tour on June 19th to 22nd, when he will raise funds for the Meningitis Trust.

Mr Wyatt, who lost his 17-year-old son to meningitis, has already trekked across the Great Wall of China to raise cash for the charity and he is intent to continue his good work.

"Following our devastating loss we have raised more than £34,000 for the trust and can't thank our supporters enough for helping us to help other families in similar situations," he explained.

While his efforts are all in a good cause, plenty of people would choose to take a trip to Paris in a Subaru rather than by cycling the journey.

People looking for used cars may be able to find good deals on a variety of Subarus at the moment, as the demand for larger vehicles has slowed in recent months.

Research from the British Car Auctions organisation and Glass's suggests that the UK used car industry will see values increase above the level they were at in 2008 by the end of this year, following a slump caused by the banking crisis at the end of last year.
