Nov 18 2009The TOYOTA IQ is finding its niche in homes of people who want an affordable city car. The Toyota IQ is the smallest four seater car in the small car market. It stylish, well built and doesn´t cost too much to buy and run. The rear seats may be cramped for adults. But for a couple with a couple of small children, it makes an ideal car to potter around in the city. It zips in and out of city traffic, is fairly easy to park and a dream to drive. Both the engine choices, the 1.0L and the 1.33L are quite good and economical. Pay a thousand pounds more and you get the luxury of an automatic transmission.
The ride quality is fairly good as the spaced wheels lower the car´s centre of gravity making it a road hugger. Fitted with a clever start/stop system, the Toyota IQ is very economical. You can buy a Toyota IQ for around ten thousand pounds. Getting the car loan to purchase this little car should be fairly easy for most people. In case you have to take your driver´s test don’t go in the Toyota IQ. British authorities have disallowed the car from being used for driver´s test. As a second family car the Toyota IQ will be an excellent runabout.
