Toyota is to debut its new Prius family at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany, along with a three-door Yaris and a brand new Avensis.
The Japanese car manufacturer is to reveal the next evolution of its highly popular Prius range with the debut of a seven-seater model called the Prius+, a plug-in version and a brand new standard hybrid Prius model.
This forms part of Toyota’s plans to cash in on the huge popularity the Prius range enjoys. The company will use the Frankfurt show to give both the public and the motoring press the chance to get a really close look at the next evolution of their by now iconic model.
With worldwide sales now exceeding 2.3 million, Prius has established itself firmly as a success story. The new models will further extend the appeal of the range and it will become the first hybrid to become a successful stand-alone range.
Every one of the new models has been specifically developed with a particular subsection of the market in mind. The most technically advanced model in the range is the Prius plug-in hybrid, which offers virtually negligible CO2 emission levels of 49 g/km. Even the Prius+ will offer emission levels of well below 100g/km.
It will also be the first vehicle in Europe to combine a full hybrid powertrain with the versatility of a seven-seater.
If you are a Toyota fan, we can virtually guarantee you will return from Frankfurt ready to sign up for a new car finance package!
