Toyota has had its fair share of success with the Toyota Prius, so what is the fuss about the Toyota Auris? Well, this hatchback is a full hybrid. This means that the car can run either on its electric motor, or its petrol engine, or a combination of both. The Toyota Auris will be able to run for 1.3 miles solely on its electric power at 31mph. it will have a 1.8L petrol engine, which will produce less than 100g/km emissions. This means that the Toyota Auris will be a zero road tax car.

The Toyota Auris is expected to go on sale in mid 2010, which will give buyers enough time to work on car finances to purchase it. Toyota dealers will also be offering car finances to buyers to get more Toyota Auris cars on the roads. Toyota has committed to transform all its models to hybrid. Given the success of the Prius and the expected success of the Auris, this target seems achievable. By mid of next year, buyers will be able to walk into Toyota showrooms and order the Toyota Auris of the shelf after working out their car finances. The Toyota Auris will be a good compact family hatchback.
