TOYOTA has unveiled a brand new urban minicar which promises to be spacious whilst at the same time being the carmaker's most compact yet.
The iQ city model, which is designed to suit modern lifestyles in busy cities, was formally launched at this year's Geneva Motor Show.
At just three metres long it is smaller than Toyota's Yaris model and its tiny Aygo, yet according to the manufacturer it does not skimp on interior space.
Toyota claims it comfortably fits three adult passengers and one child, or three adult passengers and luggage, thanks to space-saving tricks such as slimmer seats and a shorter dashboard on the passenger side to allow more legroom in the back.
Car Finance customers will be able to get their hands on the iQ in spring 2009 when it goes on sale in the UK. It will be available with a choice of two petrol engines and one diesel.
For those who want to use their Car Loans to purchase an environmentally-friendly car, the iQ may appeal as according to Toyota its emissions will start at around 100g/km.
