Toyota unveils new Verso
Apr 28 2009Automaker TOYOTA has unveiled the latest incarnation of its Verso model, which is to go on sale at the start of May.
The new version of the vehicle continues to feature seven seats in a compact format, while also offering motorists even more load space, the company says.
According to Toyota: "The third generation of the seven- SEAT Verso has a new look inside and out and translates larger external and wheelbase dimensions into added comfort for those on board, particularly for rear seat passengers who have significantly more head and legroom."
The arrival of the new vehicle could increase interest in used cars manufactured by Toyota, as well as boosting the number of people trading in their old Versos for the newer model.
As part of Toyota's commitment to cutting emissions, the new vehicle is powered by new Optimal Drive powertrains which deliver stronger performance and lower fuel consumption.
It was recently revealed that Toyota would be building more of its popular Prius hybrid range, in a move that could result in a growing number of the eco-friendly vehicles becoming available on the used car market in the future.
