One can understand the interest of cash strapped car loan buyers in the small car market – everything seems to be going up in price nowadays, excluding the cost of Car Loans. The arrival of every new small car is met with a lot of excitement.
For some time now rumours have been doing the rounds that a baby VAUXHALL was on the way, but up to now these could not be confirmed. We can now confirm that the motoring press has indeed published the first spy shot of this car and that its code name is Junior.
With its premium price tag, luxurious interior and eye-catching design, the car is set to mark a new direction for Vauxhall. It is reportedly based on a Corsa platform that has been shortened somewhat. The car’s total length will be 3.7m, which is similar to that of the MINI hatch.
Like the MINI, the Junior’s focus will be on providing an engaging and fun driving experience and to allow a lot of customisation options.
The car is, of course, camouflaged on the spy shots, so it is difficult to say exactly how the end product will look. Insiders report that both Vauxhall’s eagle-eye headlamps and the well-known double-bar grille will feature.
The baby Vauxhall will come with a range of engines developed by General Motors. The most efficient model will be a one-litre petrol unit offering fuel consumption of about 80 miles per gallon and emission figures of less than 100g/km.
