VAUXHALL has launched its new Astra ecoFLEX model, which allows company car drivers to benefit from the lowest tax band.
The vehicle is more powerful than the existing Astra 1.7 CDTi, with makers promising they have not sacrificed driver experience for environmental gain.
Personal Car Finance customers may be interested to hear the car is band B, meaning they only have to pay £35 a year in vehicle excise duty.
Engineer Hans Demant said: "At General Motors Europe, environmental consciousness means offering clever technological innovations at affordable prices, making them accessible to as many customers as possible"
Those considering a car loan to pick one of the new vehicles should know the five-door model has a starting price of just over £16,000, while the maker has not yet announced the cost of the estate and sport hatch cars.
Earlier this year, Vauxhall lauynched its new Insignia at the British International Motor Show.
The model offers automatic headlights, cruise control as standard and single-zone climate control.
