Vauxhall's latest environmentally-friendly technology has helped the company win a prestigious eco award from the fleet industry.
The car manufacturer's ecoFLEX technology helped it scoop the environmental gong at this year's Fleet World awards.
"With its ecoFLEX range, VAUXHALL has committed to reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions in cars with conventional internal combustion engines: it achieves this through clever technological and aerodynamic innovation," explained Fleet World editor Ken Rogers.
He added: "The aim is, quite simply, to make highly efficient vehicles available at affordable prices."
Vauxhall's ecoFLEX technology has been extended to a wide range of its newest model, offering those looking to upgrade to a more fuel-efficient vehicle the opportunity to find something in their price bracket.
The move could also result in more cars filtering through into the used car market as people choose to buy the more eco-friendly Vauxhalls on offer.
Earlier this month, Vauxhall announced the most economical car in the company's history, with the debut of the Vauxhall Corsa ecoFLEX, which offers a 13 per cent improvement over the outgoing model's emissions figure.
