The number of buyers applying for unsecured Car Loans in the hope of getting their hands on Volkswagen's new Scirocco could be set to surge.
Top Gear magazine has handed the model its Car of the Year 2008 award, branding it "a car we can understand, appreciate and afford".
Equipped with a powerful and efficient 2.0-litre TSI engine, the Scirocco also boasts Adaptive Chassis Control, which allows car loans customers to alter its suspension and steering set-up according to their journey.
Judges cited this system as a major reason behind their decision to honour the vehicle, claiming that it was "far beyond what we've come to expect from the average car".
Buyers will require close to £20,000 in Car Finance to purchase the vehicle, with prices starting from £18,790 for the 1.4-litre TSI model.
The award will come as a major boost to Volkswagen, which recently saw its Jetta TDI Clean Diesel named 2009 Green Car of the Year by the Green Car Journal.
