Very rarely has a car brand been so popular for a long period of time and has been able to help its manufacturer top the sales charts and make handsome profits. The Golf VI has done precisely that and ever since it became Europe’s most famous and popular car in the year 2000, it has not looked back and added another five years of glory to this achievement by remaining at the top. Each of these years saw the VW brand being bought by customers either outright or by willing to go for some of the Car Finance schemes in operation at the time and ensuring that the brand remained at the top of sales charts.
Last month was a blip when this brand lost out to the FORD and was also overtaken by the RENAULT as well as the Peugeot. It has to be mentioned here that the scrappage schemes announced by the government did help Ford and other compact car manufacturers garner more sales and now that these schemes have ended, people are turning to the Golf once again. VW will be hoping that the Golf VI retains its popularity status this year too.
