Car loan customers holding out for Volkswagen's latest model could be interested in further details of its new SUV.
The Touareg R50 has been test driven by experts at Auto Express, who took a particularly close look at fuel economy to help cash-conscious car loan customers make a decision.
A V10 diesel engine ensures the R50 packs a big punch and is "tuned to optimise performance rather than economy", according to Auto Express.
The magazine reports: "The five-litre unit produces 345bhp, up from 308bhp, and an incredible 850Nm of torque. All of this translates to an impressive zero to 62mph sprint time of 6.7 seconds."
Features of the R50 not seen on other Touaregs include alloy wheels and a roof-mounted spoiler.
The SUV's interior features include a leather sport seating system with R50 logos integrated into the headrests.
Other features which could tempt car loan customers include blue painted brake calipers, discrete wheel well flares, side skirts and distinctive bumpers.
