VOLKSWAGEN has created quite a stir by announcing the BlueMotion technology introduced in the engines of the Golf and Polo. At the Frankfurt motor show the Volkswagen Passat, with BlueMotion technology, was displayed. The 1.6L TDI returned an impressive fuel consumption of 64.2mpg and 114g/km emissions. Golf will be unveiling the saloon version of the Golf Passat soon. The Volkswagen Passat, like the rest of the Volkswagen BlueMotion lineup, will have a manual gear box with more flexibility. It will also have start/stop technology. It will really be a matter of the driver´s skills to get the best fuel economy out of these cars. Volkswagen has a reputation of building exceedingly good, long lasting and reliable cars.
The new BlueMotion technology will have been thoroughly tested out before Volkswagen decided to introduce it. Prospective Volkswagen Passat customers will get the breathing space required to source the best Car Loans, as the vehicles will not be available till 2010.
