The new VOLKSWAGEN Golf GTI Pirelli is to be launched in the UK.
Initially, the Pirelli was produced 25 years ago, but had a limited production run of just 10,500 vehicles that sold out just six months after the launch.
The 2008 Pirelli will have a 2.0-litre t-FSI engine and will reach speeds up to 152mph. Its body-shell is based on the MkV Golf but will feature updated dynamics and aesthetics to distinguish it from the original.
Consumers looking to get a car loan could be interested to know that prices for the Pirelli will start at £22,555 for the three-door model and £24,385 for the five-door model. Each comes with six airbags, electronic climate control, a CD stereo and electronic stabilisation programme (ESP) fitted as standard.
Volkswagen's new Transporter Sportline kombi also went on sale today (April 15th). Like the Sportsline panel-van, the kombi has a 2.5-litre, five-cylinder engine and will have a basic price of £24,595 (excluding VAT).
