Volvo XC90 Updated

Sep 15 2011 Volvo XC90 Updated Image

Does anyone still remember the days when Volvos were sturdy, boxy cars that lasted a lifetime, but were strictly meant for family men who sought no fun whatsoever from their driving experience?  Those days are long gone: the new range of Volvos is a stylish, modern group of vehicles.  They have one thing in common with their predecessors though – they will still be running long after their Car Loans have been paid off.

Take, for example, the company’s SUV, called XC90.  The current model is already everything one could wish from an SUV: smart, reliable, fuel efficient and with reasonable emission levels.  VOLVO has now given the car a facelift, modernised the styling and brought the technology up-to-date to make it even more desirable.

From the outside the changes are rather modest: the lower-door mouldings are now colour-coded and sharper than before; the bumper bar has been redesigned and is now silver and the roof rails also have a silver finish.  The lights, both at the front and the rear, look smarter than on the current model and the R-Design models gained a sportier look, 19-inch alloy wheels and new door panels and trim levels.

On the inside new technology is everywhere.  The Bluetooth setup allows the driver to listen to music from his wireless phone and the new smart-phone application makes it possible to connect to their X90 remotely, gaining access to data such as service alerts, the vehicle’s location and fuel level.
