VOLVO has astounded the motoring world by announcing its Volvo V70 Hybrid. The Volvo V70 Hybrid is a large estate with enough room for the family and their luggage. May not sound exciting, but the exciting news is that this car does 149mpg on a combined cycle. This makes it the most fuel efficient car to date. The 205bhp diesel drives the front wheels and 70bhp motor drives the rear wheels. The Volvo V70 Hybrid works as a hybrid and the diesel engine only works when extra power is needed or the batteries of the electric motor are running low.
The car can be run on battery only mode for 30 miles. This is less than what most European commuters drive in a day. The batteries can be fully charged in six hours from a house socket. The Volvo V70 Hybrid will SEAT five adults comfortably and there is enough room for their luggage also. The car will be well built and reliable, like all Volvo cars are. It would be still too early for buyers to search for Car Finance as the Volvo V70 Hybrid won´t be in the showrooms till 2012. However potential buyers can start thinking about car finance and their options to buy what promises to be a winner from Volvo.
