"Never again"

Exterior and Interior

The Fiat Punto is not really the dream car. Inside you don't have too much space, but enough to get around. The car doesn't come with lots of features or special things like cup holders, there is one in the glove compartment but is can't really be used.

Performance and Economy

The car is not expensive to run, but it has many issues that you will not find until later. If I remember correctly it was consuming about 8 liters /100Km that is over 1.5 gallons /80 miles, so not too bad.

Like to Drive

The only nice thing I can say about driving this car is that it has an automatic gearbox so you can enjoy your cup of coffee and drive without to much hassle :) That said the car may by good to go shopping and around town, but it's not really a car that you will enjoy doing long drives in. <

Faults and Repairs

The biggest thing that you need to worry about are the belts. On mine the transmission belt snapped. On most cars that will not be a problem as the belt is on the outside and you can just remove it and drive to the closest garage to be repaired, but on this model when it breaks half of it is pulled in to the distribution belt. Depending on your luck you will be able to run it for a few more extra minutes and after that the timing belt will jump, once that happens the car will only be useful for spares and repairs.
