Overview

"My little Rio"

Exterior and Interior

The exterior of the car was not fabulous, I purchased it with a few dents which had been 'tidied' up, however, if it did not have this it would be a nice looking car. The interior was pretty basic and easy to negotiate.

Performance and Economy

The performance was OK for a 1.4 petrol. If I drove it, economy wise it was fine, however whenever my husband drove it, he tended to over rev it pulling away and would use a lot of petrol, this was due to the biting point being different to the car he usually drives.

Like to Drive

I liked driving it, it drove well for me, took us on trips to the mainland no problem, even when it needed some work doing to it we managed to get to Devon and back. It was a good starter, even in the very cold weather, the battery started to become a bit used so it would sometimes play up, however it would always start the next time. A new battery solved this issue. <

Faults and Repairs

My only issue is that once the things go wrong with it, they all go wrong. In october I had all the advisories and more done to the car so that I knew it would be safe for a year, however, after someone drove into my back door, it was an insurance write off, even though it was still driveable. I had to get another MOT done even though it had a current one, and it failed and needed some major works doing just a few months down the line.
