Overview

"Nice small hatchback!"

Exterior and Interior

Simple but well designed exterior, nothing flashy but definitely a nice looking car. The rear pillars however do provide a larger blind-spot than can be found in most cars of this era. The interior of the car is much the same as the outside, simple but good looking, controls are functional and easy to use and not intrude too much. The plastic inside does not feel tacky but does gather dust quite quickly which is annoying. Obviously as a small hatchback there isn't a lot of space and with 5 occupants it is very squeezed, however head room and leg room is very good for a car of this size.

Performance and Economy

Fairly economical, can get around 40 mpg. As it is only a 1.2 the power isn't great, it can accelerate moderately quickly due to its lightweight but its not rapid by any means.

Like to Drive

Car is small so easy to manoeuvre in car parks and traffic. Also very comfortable for long distance driving. Can throw it around in the corners but does tend to under-steer if going quick. Quick off the line for a 1.2 but will obviously get trounce by someone with a bigger engine. Good handling, very responsive and overall nice to drive. <

Faults and Repairs

I have been fairly lucky and have had no major repairs to date (touch wood), but have had a couple of times with it not starting. This seemed to rectify itself after a couple more tries and expletives later. The one thing I would say is faulty though is the handbrake, it has to be put on extremely hard otherwise the car will definitely roll when not in gear and on any kind of incline, but this was a national problem and actually reported on the news!
