Overview

"Ok if you like paying diagnostic fees all the time!"

Exterior and Interior

The Driver comfort is rather good. The dash is rather up rated and technical looking. The exterior is set of by the curves of the car. The boot end of this tourer is nicely refined as well. The window tint what is standard on this model does add a touch of class.

Performance and Economy

Nippy and responsive. However the tourer does not like Damp to wet corners over 20 mph or you tend to have the back end sliding out. I can deal with this. But can see it been an issue for inexperienced drivers or the elderly driver.

Like to Drive

During the design of this vehicle a few years back. I would like to know if Vauxhall Designers ever sat in the car and tried reversing it in a small area. Rear view vision is poor because of the small curved design at the rear window. Also look in the wing mirrors and you can only see to the rear door handles. I fitted a reg plate light cam and LCD clip on rear view mirror to remedy this as the parking sensors intermittently work. The driver front vision is good though. It's a decent drive on longer journeys. <

Faults and Repairs

Failed its first MOT. Gutted. Main things were the ESP Light. This turned out to be a steering angle sensor fault. Also it has a seat belt sign on. This turns out to be the seatbelt pretensioners. They have been activated once but at a expensive cost both front seats were replaced. However the fault does not clear. The airbag was replaced in the steering wheel, at a cost of £800. However it comes up service airbag. This is a problem with the airbag control unit. This is located under the gear nob more or less under the ashtray. I had a diagnostics man trying to fix this for 4 hours and didn't get anywhere with it.
