News from new patent filings indicates that Honda may already be working on bringing out a substitute for the Honda S2000, with the engine being placed at the center. This roadster is expected to be a hybrid, and experts believe if Honda is thinking of replacing the S2000, it needs to ensure that the new model is very special. It would also need to be competitively priced so customers can afford to buy it.
Reports also indicate that the company would be making use of a lot of parts from their existing models and will make use of aluminium to a great extent, in order to keep the weight to a minimum. The platform used would be similar to the Honda Jazz.
Experts are hoping the new car would have a high performance electric motor and a petrol engine far more powerful to the CR-Z.
