Bolt to help develop special Nissan car

Usain Bolt, the Olympic 100m gold medallist and world record holder, is to help to produce a special version of the Nissan GT-R.

The sprinter has been appointed 'Director of Excitement' at the Japanese car manufacturer.

Nissan has produced a unique gold GT-R bearing Bolt's signature with a real gold interior in honour of his Olympic achievements, which is to be sold on eBay this month to raise money for the Usain Bolt Foundation - his charity which helps children in his home country of Jamaica.

Working with Nissan's product experts, Bolt's GT-R's will be available to buy "throughout the world".

The athlete previously helped produce a unique 'Bolt GT-R' for his own use after testing various Nissan cars at the firm's Oppama testing track in Japan.

Bolt, one of the luck few who do not need car finance, said: "Racing is my inspiration, and I want to help Nissan become an even more exciting brand for everyone."
