Brooklands holds first Supercar Sunday

Sports car connoisseurs are preparing to visit the Brooklands Museum in Weybridge, Surrey, this weekend for its first ever Supercar Sunday.

Some of the sleekest, fastest cars in history will be showcased at the event, with machines from from Aston Martin, Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati, joined by premium Alfa Romeos, Jaguars and even the occasional Koenigsegg.

Some rarely seen classics will also be exhibited including an Aston Martin Zagato, AC 378 Zagato and a Jaguar XJR15.

The event will include a racing demo on the test track at Mercedes-Benz World, beside the Brooklands Museum, within the world's first purpose-built racing circuit - which opened in 1907 - as well as on the notoriously arduous Test Hill.

The museum is based on the legacy of the famous original circuit, with a huge variety of motor-related exhibits, including racing cars, motorbikes and bicycles.

Its aviation exhibits also include a number of unique BAC-built aircrafts, such as the Second World War Wellington Bomber, VC10, BAC One-Eleven and the only Concorde open to the public in South East England.
