Kia makes '100 Best Global Brands' list

Kia Motors Corporation has made it onto the 2012 list of Intrabrand's 'Top 100 Best Global Brands'.

Kia's brand value has now risen to an estimated $4.1 billion (£2,537,514,600), as it sits in the top 100 for the first time at 87th place.

The average car brand value increase rate is just 11%, but Kia has seen a huge 50% increase on the previous year's value.

Brand consultancy agency Interbrand's yearly 'Best Global Brands' list bases its findings on the following factors: a firm's financial performance with regards to raw financial return to investors; the effect of the brand on the buying decision; and brand strength (capability of a brand to make predicted future earnings a reality).

Kia's global sales have seen double figure yearly increases for the last three years running, making it the quickest-growing large car manufacturer worldwide.

Vice President of Kia Motors Corporation Marketing Division, Claire Chai, said: "Entering the 'Top 100 Best Global Brands' validates Kia's commitment to continuously provide exciting and inspiring brand experiences."
