Lexus announces new LS model details

Lexus has announced the details of the new interior and exterior style of its new LS range, which is set to go on sale later in the year.

There have been "more than 3,000 changes" to the model as the manufacturer has tried to take customer feedback into account and the LS will also boast a new F Sport version for the first time.

The LS lights now have LED technology and the cars come complete with Drive Mode Select, which allows the driver to choose from five switchable driving modes: Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport S and Sport S+.

The front-end face has also been improved and the adaptive variable suspension now has a new four-wheel interlock control to suppress roll, pitch and heave vibration at all four wheels at the same time.

The F Sport models will be 10mm lower and have Brembo six-piston calliper front brakes and paddle shift controls as well as an intake sound generator on the engine to amplify the vibration and pump the sound of the engine into the cabin.

Both the new Lexus LS 460 and LS 600h are due to go on sale in the UK later in 2012 and more specific details about performance, specification and the all-important pricing and car finance options will be announced soon.
