Londoners 'are unluckiest drivers'

Londoners are the UK's most accident prone and unlucky drivers, according to new statistics.

According to demand for car parts from Breakeryard.com, motorists from Bristol are second-worst, while Glaswegian drivers are third in the table.

Demand for parts from used cars has been largest from drivers from the capital since the site was launched, with Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham, Liverpool and Edinburgh completing the top 10.

At the other end of the scale, the towns with most cautious or lucky drivers were revealed to be Leamington Spa, Port Talbot and Oban.

Matt Bott, founder of Breakeryard.com, said: "City driving can be very stressful and many drivers get very heated, so that may be why some of the UK's biggest cities are in the top 10.

"It's important to remember to take care when driving, paying attention when driving at all times, even though it may seem like the person in front of you doesn't deserve to have a licence!"
