Toyota has announced it will showcase the new Auris at the Paris Motor Show in September.
The Japanese firm claim the new model offers improved dynamics, attractive styling and more in-car technology, while also being cheaper to run.
Sporting a renovated exterior, including a newly-designed grille, angular headlights and LED daytime running lights, the new Auris should make a more powerful visual impact.
As well as sitting lower than any other mainstream C-segment model, the new Yaris is 5.5cm shorter than the present model and a lower front end helps deliver excellent aerodynamic performance, better handling stability and lower fuel consumption.
A highly-competitive BMW diesel engine will be added to the Auris range as part of a recent tie-up between BMW and Toyota.
The new Auris is designed and engineered in Europe, and built at Toyota's soon-to-be-expanded plant in Burnaston, Derbyshire.
Available in 2013, the new Auris will be available with a number of financing options.
