Kia has followed up a series of teaser images by finally unveiling its new Carens in the run up to the Paris Motor Show next week.
The car-maker's new version, which UK customers will be able to get their hands on in spring next year, sees a considerable change in direction to the previous, dated design.
The new Carens range will include a seven-seater model, with the larger Sedona MPV looking like being taken away by Kia from its latest family of vehicles and the company hopes its newcomer will attract a new kind of customer.
Michael Cole, Kia UK's managing director said the Carens would complete the core range and suggested that design boss Peter Schreyer's obsession of creating a sports car for the brand may now come to fruition now the range was finished.
Kia is also likely to introduce a rear-wheel drive rival to the MX-5, according to UK and Ireland president and CEO Paul Philpott.
