A limited special edition of Peugeot's new 208 GTi model will be offered to UK motorists, the French car company has announced.
Only 29 out of a total of 54 new hot hatchbacks worldwide have been set aside for British buyers, who may want to start looking at car finance options.
There is meaning behind the number of UK cars. It represents the number of years since the iconic 205 GTi was launched. To mark the event, the new 208 GTi Limited Edition will be individually numbered and come comopletge with a range of axtra features.
The price on the limited edition 208 of £20,495 reflects the higher standard of sat-nav, DAB radio and UK-inspired graphic details. The car will be on sale in showrooms in May. The standard 208 GTi is expected to be priced just below the special edition model.
The lower grille of all cars will sport a Union Jack flag, which Peugeot says signifies the importance of the GTi name in the UK.
Numbered from 01 to 29, this special edition GTi model will boast an exclusive satin pearlescent white paint as well as 17" 'Carbon' onyx black alloys.
