Looking towards the end of the year, December has traditionally been a fairly slow month for car finance. Christmas gifts seem to take priority in the public’s spending habits. We have also included select statistics from the recent SMMT report, which states that the UK car market is now at pre-recession levels from a strong 2013.

Vauxhall

was the most popular manufacturer in December, with the Astra being the 2nd best-selling car of the month.

was the average deposit value taken by Creditplus.

was the percentage increase in average loan amount between November and December.

was the average loan amount issued in December.

Black

was once again the overwhelming car colour of choice this month.
