You may remember, not that long ago, we announced that we will be working with apprentices from Bournemouth and Poole College

Well, we're delighted to announce that we've just welcomed Molly to our Digital Marketing team, and thought it would be nice to introduce her. So, we've asked her a few questions about what attracted her to marketing, her goals and her plans for the future.

What attracted you to studying marketing?

I’ve always been interested in business and see myself as very creative. Marketing is a side of business where you can be creative and express yourself. I’m drawn to the fact that you can create a relationship with a customer through imagery and writing; they are both very powerful tools. I feel like it can be the make-or-break of a business. It gives you a chance to be innovative and think outside the box, which is very exciting.

What do you hope to learn from your apprenticeship?

As my apprenticeship placement with Creditplus is 15-18 months I hope I can learn a lot! I’m channelling my inner sponge right now and trying to soak up as much as I can at every given moment of the day. I want to finish the course pleased that I have learnt as much and worked as hard as I could have, having been given the opportunity with this highly-credited business. I’m not going to waste this opportunity!

What would you like to be doing in 5 years?

As you’ve probably gathered form the above questions, I like to be creative. So, in five years’ time I would like to be managing social media accounts and writing blog posts. I’d like to have some freedom with my content, so I feel like I’m putting my touch on it.

What’s your favourite part of marketing and what area would you like to build your skills in?

Once again, you’ve probably guessed it - my favourite areas have to be social media marketing and blogging. However, the area that I would like to improve in would be SEO (search engine optimisation) and analytics - I find this area of marketing the trickiest. I would like to improve on that, so my skills will be more well-rounded.
