Approved by the Car Finance Advisory Board

When you purchase a new or used car from Creditplus, many people also enquire as to whether we can help them find a suitable car warranty. Below we have compiled some of the most commonly asked questions surrounding car warranties.

What is a Car Warranty?

A Car Warranty is an insurance policy which covers you for the repair costs / and or the replacement of parts and labour in the event of a mechanical or electrical failure.

Car warranties are designed to give you peace of mind and ensure you're not left out of pocket should something go wrong with your vehicle.

Can I get a warranty on a used car?

Yes, car warranties are available on used vehicles. However if a vehicle is still within the initial manufacturers warranty period, a used car mAY still have part of that left. As standard, Creditplus offers a fully underwritten 6 month warranty on all of our used vehicles that we both finance and supply at no additional cost. When the warranty is due to expire there's the option to extend it to a 12, 24 or 36 month warranty which will come at an additional premium. Over the last 12 years we have worked hard as a company to build up some key relationships with car warranty companies, bringing you only the best deals at the most competitive prices.

Is a car warranty a regulated product?

Yes, a car warranty is a fully regulated product. Only businesses that are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) or who have become an appointed representative (AR) of an authorised intermediary can sell, provide or recommend insurance warranties.
